Avoid coffee and alcohol in the late evening and before bedtime. Avoid spicy foods, fried foods, and heavy dinners, as these might cause indigestion and restless sleep. Include foods that promote the production of melatonin, often known as the sleep hormone, in your diet, such as bananas, sweet corn, pineapple, rice, dairy, and barley.
